Blackhill Quarry, Leeds

In early 2023, G&F Formwork secured a contract for constructing a state-of-the-art soil washing plant at Blackhill Quarry in Leeds, commissioned by Mone Bros Excavation Ltd. The project comprised multiple phases, but our focus was on building the primary tank, cake filter bays, and a water storage unit for the new facility. This phase of the project required our expertise and innovative solutions to achieve wall heights of up to 6m and thickness’s of 500mm.

Collaborating closely with the site team, we promptly recognized NOEtop panels as the ideal formwork solution for the substantial wall requirements as our NOEtop panel system demonstrates exceptional height and high-pressure capabilities. Once NOEtop was selected as the solution, our experienced sales and design teams quickly initiated a collaborative effort with G&F Formwork and began generating drawings and designs that outlined the most efficient utilization of NOEtop for the project.

The wide and versatile range of NOEtop panels provided G&F Formwork with the ability to form the smaller walls with a single panel and the larger 6m walls in just a 2 panel combination, due to the utilisation of our impressively large 5.3m x 2.65m NOEtop panel.
